MadTown

So I told myself that I wouldn't let anyone know I was blogging until I was sure that I would be consistent. Obviously you can see from the dates of past posts that I was an epic fail!  Now that I'm living in a new town and ALL of my friends and family are at a distance, I thought a blog might help keep everyone up to date in case you're interested in the shenanigans going on in my life.  So for today... I'm a blogger.  Tomorrow?  We'll just have to wait and see!

I've been a citizen of Madison, WI for a week and a half now.  Yeah!  I'm working for a cool company in the Travel Dept. (cool company as in industry leader, innovative and totally fun!) I'm basically acting as an agent for our employees, recruits and customers.  When people ask me where I'm from- I tell them the midwest.  That should be fair enough since I started in IL, MI, MN, IA and now WI.  It's very humbling to come here not knowing anyone.  It really makes you take a look at how you're perceived because you have no reputation to hold onto.  I've become pretty good at attending events alone and jumping on people begging them to be my friends. literally. I'd say first impressions have been ok so far...!

As for Madison, I'm diggin it!  You can't go a day without a cool free events here or there and the cultural vibe is brilliant.  I'll post pics and even maybe some reviews later but if you've never been here, or even if you have, you need to come visit me!! (please?  pretty please?!)
